We are delighted to welcome you to Singapore for the inaugural Scientific Congress of the Asian Society of Vascular Anomalies — Asia's premier forum dedicated to advancing care for patients with vascular anomalies.

Vascular anomalies are conditions children are born with, commonly presenting as birthmarks, and fall into two broad groups: tumours and malformations. While they may appear innocuous in early childhood, their consequences can be profound. As children grow, malformations grow with them — and arteriovenous malformations in particular become increasingly debilitating through puberty and beyond, with lasting impact on physical development, confidence, and psychosocial wellbeing. Early diagnosis and treatment are not merely desirable — they are essential.

Across Asia, too many children continue to go undiagnosed or mismanaged. Inconsistencies in medical nomenclature and limited specialist awareness have long contributed to delayed care, preventable disfigurement, and lost function. ASVA was founded in 2026 to change this — bringing together clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals across specialties to raise standards of practice, share best practices, and improve outcomes for patients throughout the region.

This congress is the first expression of that mission. Over two days, delegates will engage with leading regional and international experts, explore the latest innovations in diagnosis and treatment, and forge the multidisciplinary connections that are vital to progress in this field.
